Taking care of our physical body is very important. To keep living and functioning in this busy world, we need to take care of our body.
Like the photo above, those football players have to stay healthy in order to play well. That means eat healthy foods, exercise, and get plenty of rest. Of course that is what you hear from your doctor. Well, I hate to ruin it for you but it's true.
And it's also true that we are what we eat. If you eat pizza every week, your body will absorb all the negative ingredients that a pizza has. For example, cheese can have a lot of fat and oils which contributes to high cholesterol. When you have high cholesterol it affects how your body performs. That is why your doctor tells you to cut down on the pizza or cheese.
Our mental health is just as important as our physical health. Without taking care of our brain and mind, that too can falter.
Just as you work hard to cut down on the cheese and bad food that hurts our body, you have to work hard and be consistent with your mental health as well.
Educating yourself on techniques to work your mind is an important part. But a simple tip to start with is challenge your mind by doing puzzles. When you work at a puzzle (Crosswords, word searches, etc.) it activates everything in your brain which is good. It keeps it working which in turn keeps it young.
Also, take one day at a time and grab onto the things that make you happy in life. When you enjoy life, even the small things in it, your mental health is happier.
Now when you put a healthy body and a healthy mind together, you should have a happy and healthy life.
